I can’t remember the last time a Black Metal band had a 5-minute ambient wind intro that I actually wanted to listen to (maybe never!), but then again, Ygg is no normal band. Comprised of two former members of Nokturnal Mortum (Vrolok on bass/vocals and Odalv on drums) and Khors’s ex-guitarist Helg, this is a Ukrainian supergroup. At first, these baleful, majestic, melancholy songs might seem simplistic, but every listen reveals more and more depth, and the evil atmosphere is expertly balanced with bursts of intensity. Vrolok’s tormented wails can be a little too much at times, and there is a weird, sort of twangy instrumentation in a couple of the songs that I don’t understand. But despite, or maybe because of, these possible flaws, this is an amazing debut album that is somehow both a “first listen” and “it has to grow on you” experience.

This album Margaret Aitken, the great story of Balwearie witches. After pleading guilty under torture, the Commission pointed out that witch witches throughout the country in exchange for their life hunter aid offered. During the four-month period, after the Aitken Commission has been identified by his was visited several parts of Scotland and detained a number of people put to the test and burned at the stake. Aitken is finally driven to madness by guilt and haunting looks of my brain can not be killed by the hands of innocent girls. She has proven to be a fraud and is burned in the game itself. (Our interpretation of this story)

I saw this yesterday (12/28/15) and I didn’t want to believe it. Lemmy and Motorhead played a large role in my ill-spent youth and even though I knew it wasn’t possible, I thought that Lemmy would always be there. He lived fast and hard, just like his music. He was an inspiration to countless people and Metal as we know it wouldn’t be the same without him. He was a true legend. His Iron Fist shook the world and changed it forever. Rest in peace, brother Lemmy. You will never be forgotten.
