Gorguts - Considered Dead

This was originally released way back in 1991, before the band was obsessed with being so complex and weird that no one could manage to sit through a song, much less an entire album. No, this was a simpler, heavier, better time. Considered Dead is prime Death Metal, and it’s great to see this back in print after all these years. At the time of this album’s initial release, the competition was so fierce that it may have been somewhat overlooked. Perhaps this is what led the band to more and more “experimentation” on subsequent releases, I don’t know, but this classic holds up very well. Plus we’re treated to a pair of previously unheard (and raw!) demo versions of album cuts as bonus tracks.

This album Margaret Aitken, the great story of Balwearie witches. After pleading guilty under torture, the Commission pointed out that witch witches throughout the country in exchange for their life hunter aid offered. During the four-month period, after the Aitken Commission has been identified by his was visited several parts of Scotland and detained a number of people put to the test and burned at the stake. Aitken is finally driven to madness by guilt and haunting looks of my brain can not be killed by the hands of innocent girls. She has proven to be a fraud and is burned in the game itself. (Our interpretation of this story)

I saw this yesterday (12/28/15) and I didn’t want to believe it. Lemmy and Motorhead played a large role in my ill-spent youth and even though I knew it wasn’t possible, I thought that Lemmy would always be there. He lived fast and hard, just like his music. He was an inspiration to countless people and Metal as we know it wouldn’t be the same without him. He was a true legend. His Iron Fist shook the world and changed it forever. Rest in peace, brother Lemmy. You will never be forgotten.
