Their press release really plays up the fact that new singer, Kate French, is a mega-babe, so I was pretty sure that must mean that this would suck. Then I noticed that Dennis Lesh is their new skin basher. Well, I always liked his previous band, Chicago’s Stygian, so I gave this a shot. I was immediately shocked by the raw guitar sound. Most guitar “heroes” have a fairly clean tone, but David’s guitar sound is sick and filthy. Kate’s voice sort of makes Chastain sound like Fear of God, in the way that she (sometimes) multi-tracks her vocals, although these guys are not as heavy, or interesting. Not bad, but really nothing too special. It’d be fun to see them live though, I’d bet.

This album Margaret Aitken, the great story of Balwearie witches. Aitken is finally driven to madness by guilt and haunting looks of my brain can not be killed by the hands of innocent girls. She has proven to be a fraud and is burned in the game itself. (Our interpretation of this story)

I saw this yesterday (12/28/15) and I didn’t want to believe it. Lemmy and Motorhead played a large role in my ill-spent youth and even though I knew it wasn’t possible, I thought that Lemmy would always be there. He lived fast and hard, just like his music. He was an inspiration to countless people and Metal as we know it wouldn’t be the same without him. He was a true legend. His Iron Fist shook the world and changed it forever. Rest in peace, brother Lemmy. You will never be forgotten.
