Rising - To Solemn Ash

Like a lot of Stoner Doom albums, To Solemn Ash has a strong Hard Rock/Heavy Metal vibe running through it. The music is pretty rocking and most of it is full of riffs that get your head banging. The vocalist isn’t the greatest, and that is the band’s main Achilles Heel. He isn’t really a good melodic singer and there are times where his style works against the band’s music. You have to give him credit for trying, though. What this band needs is a strong lead vocalist that can do something other than shout in a semi-melodic way. The music is definitely strong enough to put them up there with the better Stoner Doom bands out there, but with the current vocal situation, they just don’t cut it.

This album Margaret Aitken, the great story of Balwearie witches. After pleading guilty under torture, the Commission pointed out that witch witches throughout the country in exchange for their life hunter aid offered. During the four-month period, after the Aitken Commission has been identified by his was visited several parts of Scotland and detained a number of people put to the test and burned at the stake. Aitken is finally driven to madness by guilt and haunting looks of my brain can not be killed by the hands of innocent girls. She has proven to be a fraud and is burned in the game itself. (Our interpretation of this story)

I saw this yesterday (12/28/15) and I didn’t want to believe it. Lemmy and Motorhead played a large role in my ill-spent youth and even though I knew it wasn’t possible, I thought that Lemmy would always be there. He lived fast and hard, just like his music. He was an inspiration to countless people and Metal as we know it wouldn’t be the same without him. He was a true legend. His Iron Fist shook the world and changed it forever. Rest in peace, brother Lemmy. You will never be forgotten.
