Gang Green - Older…Budweiser

Another classic from the Hardcore legends Gang Green, this time from 1989. “There’s no Bible, and brews are god.” No wonder Impaled Nazarene covered one of their songs (“Alcohol,” from the Another Wasted Night album). With each release this band injected a little more (Thrash) Metal into its sound, which I liked at the time and like just as much now. I’ve listened to Older… 666 times over the years, and its one of my all-time favorites. And 1988’s entire I81B4U EP is included as bonus tracks on this 2007 reissue, which is the first time those song have ever been available on CD as far as I know. I didn’t think that this album could possibly be any better, but that did it.

This album Margaret Aitken, the great story of Balwearie witches. After pleading guilty under torture, the Commission pointed out that witch witches throughout the country in exchange for their life hunter aid offered. During the four-month period, after the Aitken Commission has been identified by his was visited several parts of Scotland and detained a number of people put to the test and burned at the stake. Aitken is finally driven to madness by guilt and haunting looks of my brain can not be killed by the hands of innocent girls. She has proven to be a fraud and is burned in the game itself. (Our interpretation of this story)

I saw this yesterday (12/28/15) and I didn’t want to believe it. Lemmy and Motorhead played a large role in my ill-spent youth and even though I knew it wasn’t possible, I thought that Lemmy would always be there. He lived fast and hard, just like his music. He was an inspiration to countless people and Metal as we know it wouldn’t be the same without him. He was a true legend. His Iron Fist shook the world and changed it forever. Rest in peace, brother Lemmy. You will never be forgotten.
