Okay, I’ve got to be honest. I’m just not a big fan of concept records. Since two perfect concept albums exist, Rush’s 2112 and King Diamond’s Abigail, I figure what is the damn point? However, I’ve got to admit that this Swiss act really impressed the shit out of me with this release. Featuring 11 songs that tell a pseudo-medieval story, it is executed brilliantly. The music is a stylistic hybrid of classic Metal interwoven with majestic harmonies played in a Baroque fashion. An added bonus is that this is easily one of the most intricate, yet tasteful, CD booklet layouts I’ve ever seen. Oh, and the band actually smiles in their band photo. Imagine that! If you can appreciate a band that is not afraid to avoid the current trends, check these guys out.

This album Margaret Aitken, the great story of Balwearie witches. After pleading guilty under torture, the Commission pointed out that witch witches throughout the country in exchange for their life hunter aid offered. During the four-month period, after the Aitken Commission has been identified by his was visited several parts of Scotland and detained a number of people put to the test and burned at the stake. Aitken is finally driven to madness by guilt and haunting looks of my brain can not be killed by the hands of innocent girls. She has proven to be a fraud and is burned in the game itself. (Our interpretation of this story)

I saw this yesterday (12/28/15) and I didn’t want to believe it. Lemmy and Motorhead played a large role in my ill-spent youth and even though I knew it wasn’t possible, I thought that Lemmy would always be there. He lived fast and hard, just like his music. He was an inspiration to countless people and Metal as we know it wouldn’t be the same without him. He was a true legend. His Iron Fist shook the world and changed it forever. Rest in peace, brother Lemmy. You will never be forgotten.
