Diabolic - Subterraneal Magnitude

Having seen these guys play in support of Cannibal Corpse a few years back, I can honestly compare their live sound to that of an industrial flour sifter with solos. This being my first experience with their studio work, I will say that they are more enjoyable with the absence of shitty PA speakers and the ever-present scent of sweat and booze. However, while there certainly are no weak tracks here (eleven songs of solidly played, fast, technical Death Metal), nothing really stands out either. This is just one of those albums that amidst its duration, the mind can’t help but wander.

This album Margaret Aitken, the great story of Balwearie witches. After pleading guilty under torture, the Commission pointed out that witch witches throughout the country in exchange for their life hunter aid offered. During the four-month period, after the Aitken Commission has been identified by his was visited several parts of Scotland and detained a number of people put to the test and burned at the stake. Aitken is finally driven to madness by guilt and haunting looks of my brain can not be killed by the hands of innocent girls. She has proven to be a fraud and is burned in the game itself. (Our interpretation of this story)

I saw this yesterday (12/28/15) and I didn’t want to believe it. Lemmy and Motorhead played a large role in my ill-spent youth and even though I knew it wasn’t possible, I thought that Lemmy would always be there. He lived fast and hard, just like his music. He was an inspiration to countless people and Metal as we know it wouldn’t be the same without him. He was a true legend. His Iron Fist shook the world and changed it forever. Rest in peace, brother Lemmy. You will never be forgotten.
