This album is everything every Doom/Death band has ever promised to be - to the tenth power. Heavier than all comers, more emotional than any, save My Dying Bride, or Avernus. I had thought that the final word had been written on Atmospheric Doom when Turn Loose the Swans was released, and then I was proven wrong by Avernus’ Sadness demo, and now Celestial Season. If there is a better Doom album than this, I must hear it, although I honestly do not understand how anyone could improve on Solar Lovers (other than by leaving off the experimental last track, for which I was forced to reduce the rating a little bit). I guess this will make it pretty hard to write an album to follow this masterpiece. I am anxiously awaiting the attempt! Note: This is now available through Metal Blade here in the USA.

This album Margaret Aitken, the great story of Balwearie witches. After pleading guilty under torture, the Commission pointed out that witch witches throughout the country in exchange for their life hunter aid offered. During the four-month period, after the Aitken Commission has been identified by his was visited several parts of Scotland and detained a number of people put to the test and burned at the stake. Aitken is finally driven to madness by guilt and haunting looks of my brain can not be killed by the hands of innocent girls. She has proven to be a fraud and is burned in the game itself. (Our interpretation of this story)

I saw this yesterday (12/28/15) and I didn’t want to believe it. Lemmy and Motorhead played a large role in my ill-spent youth and even though I knew it wasn’t possible, I thought that Lemmy would always be there. He lived fast and hard, just like his music. He was an inspiration to countless people and Metal as we know it wouldn’t be the same without him. He was a true legend. His Iron Fist shook the world and changed it forever. Rest in peace, brother Lemmy. You will never be forgotten.
