Celestia - A Cave Full of Bats

Celestia hails from France and plays raw yet atmospheric Black Metal that sounds a bit like Darkthrone but with keyboards and occasional acoustic guitar. The inclusion of atmospheric elements adds an air of gloominess that is welcome as far as I’m concerned. Without that gloomy feeling, this would be just another “Grim” Black Metal album that would instantly be forgotten because there is nothing new or different done to the already beaten to death formula. The only major gripes I have about this album are the guitar sound (which could have had more lower end on it) and the really one-dimensional drumming. I can’t really take a whole lot away from Celestia because I only have four songs to go by. If this band can improve their sound and change up the drumming once in a while - I think they used the same beat for all four songs - I firmly believe that they will be a band to look out for.

This album Margaret Aitken, the great story of Balwearie witches. After pleading guilty under torture, the Commission pointed out that witch witches throughout the country in exchange for their life hunter aid offered. During the four-month period, after the Aitken Commission has been identified by his was visited several parts of Scotland and detained a number of people put to the test and burned at the stake. Aitken is finally driven to madness by guilt and haunting looks of my brain can not be killed by the hands of innocent girls. She has proven to be a fraud and is burned in the game itself. (Our interpretation of this story)

I saw this yesterday (12/28/15) and I didn’t want to believe it. Lemmy and Motorhead played a large role in my ill-spent youth and even though I knew it wasn’t possible, I thought that Lemmy would always be there. He lived fast and hard, just like his music. He was an inspiration to countless people and Metal as we know it wouldn’t be the same without him. He was a true legend. His Iron Fist shook the world and changed it forever. Rest in peace, brother Lemmy. You will never be forgotten.
