Autopsy - Fiend for Blood

The first time I heard this EP, I was convinced that it was worthless except for Steve DiGiorgio’s excellent (and fretless) bass work. However, the more I listen to this, the more I like it. It didn’t really “grow on me,” rather it just snuck up behind me and was cool. All 6 songs are short, mostly fast, and of course raw and heavy. The addition of DiGiorgio on bass lends Autopsy the technical edge needed for this release to surpass my initial distaste. I have only 2 wishes for this band: 1. That they could convince Steve to stick around (he could still be in Sadus too), and 2. Reifert should always sing like he does on “A Different Kind of Mindfuck” and “Dead Hole.” It would simply be more brutal.

This album Margaret Aitken, the great story of Balwearie witches. After pleading guilty under torture, the Commission pointed out that witch witches throughout the country in exchange for their life hunter aid offered. During the four-month period, after the Aitken Commission has been identified by his was visited several parts of Scotland and detained a number of people put to the test and burned at the stake. Aitken is finally driven to madness by guilt and haunting looks of my brain can not be killed by the hands of innocent girls. She has proven to be a fraud and is burned in the game itself. (Our interpretation of this story)

I saw this yesterday (12/28/15) and I didn’t want to believe it. Lemmy and Motorhead played a large role in my ill-spent youth and even though I knew it wasn’t possible, I thought that Lemmy would always be there. He lived fast and hard, just like his music. He was an inspiration to countless people and Metal as we know it wouldn’t be the same without him. He was a true legend. His Iron Fist shook the world and changed it forever. Rest in peace, brother Lemmy. You will never be forgotten.
