Can someone please tell me why so many excellent musicians insist on wasting their talents on playing neo-Classical, self-indulgent, pseudo-Metal like this? I mean who the fuck buys this stuff? I certainly can’t dismiss the musicianship on this stroke-fest, but how about less chops and more emphasis on contemporary songwriting. The only thing more annoying than the goofy Rainbow rip-off vocals (a la Joe Lynn Turner) might just be the goofy Rainbow rip-off keyboard solos. Yawn. Uh guys… it’s 1999, not 1979.

This album Margaret Aitken, the great story of Balwearie witches. Aitken is finally driven to madness by guilt and haunting looks of my brain can not be killed by the hands of innocent girls. She has proven to be a fraud and is burned in the game itself. (Our interpretation of this story)

I saw this yesterday (12/28/15) and I didn’t want to believe it. Lemmy and Motorhead played a large role in my ill-spent youth and even though I knew it wasn’t possible, I thought that Lemmy would always be there. He lived fast and hard, just like his music. He was an inspiration to countless people and Metal as we know it wouldn’t be the same without him. He was a true legend. His Iron Fist shook the world and changed it forever. Rest in peace, brother Lemmy. You will never be forgotten.
